Struggling with his dual identity, failed comedian Arthur Fleck meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn, while at Arkham State Hospital. Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson and writer-director Todd Phillips share what scared them most about the musical sequel. In addition, Gaga talks about how she entered and stayed in her dark self. The film’s subtitle „Folie a Deux“ means „Madness of Two“ in French. This initially led to speculation of Harley Quinn appearing in the film, which was confirmed shortly after. The name Folie a Deux comes from the 19th century French psychiatrists Charles Lasègue and Jules Falret. The term was coined to refer to two or more people who share the same madness or delusion. It is also known as Lasègue-Falret syndrome. The jury agent mistakenly refers to the „People of New York“ instead of Gotham City. The film opens with the Looney Tunes title sequence with the Warner Bros. logo. he is surrounded by rings and Joker’s face. He is in the cast of Crazy Cartoon AniMat: The Wicked Discovery of a Lifetime (2022). Merry We Roll Along Written by Eddie Cantor, Murray Mencher and Charles Tobias. The sequel to „Joker“ promised a lot, but the end result fell short of expectations and was also a bad movie. The ambitious choice to make the film into a musical, although brave, was not interesting. The story does not bring anything really new and original. The relationship between the Joker and Harley Quinn, while central to the plot, is unconvincing, lacking the emotional depth that could make it memorable. Joaquin Phoenix proves his talent, but even his interpretation is a bit repetitive compared to the first film. Lady Gaga gives a solid performance as Harley Quinn, but the character seems overwhelmed by the Joker’s dominating presence. In the end, „Joker: Folie à Deux“ is a movie that leaves me feeling incomplete and I didn’t like it. Overall a bad movie.
