Child benefit increase from January 1, 2023

Until now, the first and second child each received 219 euros, the third 225 euros and the fourth 250 euros. That will change as of January 2023.

How much will families with children be relieved by the increase?

• For the first and second child: increase of 31 euros per month.
• For a family with two children, this is 744 euros more per year
• For the third child: increase of 25 euros per month
• For a family with three children, this is 1,044 euros more per year

Families with low incomes are additionally relieved by an immediate supplement and the increase of the child supplement.
