BAföG Service Changes

BAföG service is restricted on Thursdays

As of now, BAföG service in SSZ is restricted on Thursdays. This means there is no advisory/consultancy on that day. You can, however,

• Submit applications and missing documents
• Receive forms
• Receive contact details and information on office hours of your BAföG counsellor

On Mondays and Fridays the BAföG service is available as usual as an addition to the BAföG counsellors' office ours. The service offers/is

• General advice on BAföG
• Issuing of forms
• An opportunity to submit your application
• An opportunity to submit missing documents
• Help with filling in the forms
• General legal advice for BAföG
• Tips for other means of funding (e.g. scholarships, KfW loans etc)  

Depending on SSZ's changed opening hours during the semester break, the BAföG service will be offered again on Tuesdays from 3 September. The restricted BAföG service will also be offered again on Wednesdays from 2 October.

Current office hours of the BAföG service in SSZ during the semester break:

• Monday 12.00 noon – 3.00 pm
• Thursday 1.00-4.00 pm (submitting of applications/documents ONLY – no advisory service)
• Friday 9.00 am-12.00 noon
