Our current cultural tip leads into the Gewandhaus, where a symphony is performed by students.
A big romantic symphony orchestra, a gigantic organ, a choir of 140 people – this is what you can admire on Friday, 17 November, at 8.00 p.m. at the Gewandhaus of Leipzig. The "Junge Kammerphilharmonie Sachsen" is going to perform the monumental 2nd symphony by Gustav Mahler, 280 students from all over Germany will participate. The artistisc direction is under the supervision of Benedikt Kantert, who is a student conductor from Leipzig. Students can purchase tickets for a reduced price of ten euros.
The cultural tip of the month presents a selected project supported by our Cultural Funding. Financial resources for student culture are awarded upon application.
